How to Run a Silver Surfers’ Day – Bath Central Library on April 9th

How to Run a Silver Surfers’ Day Event: workshop in Bath Central Library: Wednesday, April 9th, from 1.30 to 4pm.The workshop is aimed at anyone (from any organisation or business, commercial or non-profit, or any individual) who wants some extra support and inspiration, to run Silver Surfers’ Day Events on or around May 23, 2008.

Cost is £25 for one person; £45 for two from the same organisation.

Just send your name, title and organisation to gill.adams@digitalunite.net with Bath Workshop in the subject line.

This invaluable ‘mini-workshop’ will walk you through the various tasks associated with running a successful Silver Surfers’ Day Event/s, large or small. There will be a 45-minute presentation from Digital Unite with advice on how to plan, who you need to have in place, how to publicise, how to use the Learning Modules online, how to give your over-50s visitors the best experience possible.

This is a space of time for you to think and create, as well as to receive ideas and advice. You will leave equipped with information and energy to organise and deliver an Event that will be pleasureable as well as productive for visitors and organisers alike. It will give you a chance to meet other potential event-holders and share best practice.

Timing will be from 1.30-4pm with a break for tea and time for networking.

Silver Surfers’ Day is managed by Digital Unite in partnership with Ofcom, and is part of Adult Learners’ Week.
